.gaming

Some call it a drug.
An addiction.

Others see it as harmless fun; a form of escapism from the stresses of the 'real world'.

Some, still sneer upon the computer and video game industry, viewing it as a hobby / obsession (delete as you see fit) enjoyed by spotty, unwashed, teenage boys, locked away in darkened bedrooms for days on end.

Luckily, there are people in the world which see the whole picture.
I consider myself to be one of those people.

iLoxy : who?

iLoxy - this journal - is the weblog extension of my techno-geek life; gaming, gadgetry, technology, writing & teaching!

So, a little history to begin with.

I'm originally from Leicestershire, now living in London.

Born 22nd September 1978, as I write this, I am a short way past my 30th birthday, and just discovering who I really am.

Raised in a slow, rural, historic farming and livestock market town, I schooled locally for primary, but further away for secondary education.

I am a succesful failure of a college student (twice), however, since 1999 I've been working as an IT Trainer / Teacher, in many guises, across very different marketplaces.

At the turn of the Millenium I had just made leap from the quiet suburban life, to the hustle and bustle of the big city life, leaving my hometown to live in London.

After 8 years, I still find myself living and working in London - in a beautiful area in the south-east of London...in a beautiful split-level 1-bed, bright, spacious flat, with it's own secluded roof terrace garden.

My passions are football (Leicester City, Dainite Sports & SouthBank Cuaco), video games, gadgets & technology, web & graphic design, writing, teaching, and of course, partying & sleeping - but not necessarily at the same time!

So, there you have it...a little background about myself.

This blog is all about my passions, so, if you are interested in all things techno-geek...follow this blog, and stay tuned!
